Jesus is God’s Promised Light to Save Others

Isa. 9:2 “The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned.”

2 Tim. 1:9b-10 “This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.”

Heb. 1:3 “… the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of His being, sustaining all things by His powerful word.”

We Are God’s Promise of Light to Save Others

Isa. 49:6 “I will also make you [Israel] a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring My salvation to the ends of the earth.”

Isa. 42:6-7 “I, the Lord, have called you [Israel] in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles, to open eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness.”

Jn. 12:36, “Put your trust in the light while you have it, so that you may become sons of light.”

Eph. 5:8 “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord.”

I am sending you to them to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.' ”
